Target Audience

This course is for those who have responsibility for improving literacy across the curriculum within secondary schools. However, it would also be beneficial for secondary teachers who are looking to improve standards of literacy in their subject area to help support progress.

Course Content

During the course, delegates will have opportunity to explore the importance of literacy across the curriculum, the impact Literacy and oracy has on students’ progress and how literacy and oracy play a vital part in all curriculum areas.

Delegates will have opportunity to trial a range of different strategies which they will be able to take away and implement in their own schools across other curriculum areas.
