The Salop Teaching School Alliance is pleased to be able to continue our support for Women Leading in Education network opportunities.
The WliE network is aimed at supporting women at all stages of their career with career progression, facilitating leadership development and coaching, and providing opportunities to network and share effective practice.
Feedback from our network meetings:
“Loved this session. Very inspirational hearing everyone’s pathways. As this is my first network meeting I would like to build on this in the future and feel that support and build on connections”
“My challenge is how I will balance family life and maintain my ambition as well as making sure my school sees that I am still keen to progress”
“I found the meeting really helpful talking to each other and sharing good practice. For future meetings it would be good to discuss interviews: skills & techniques How to move from HOD to first assistant head role, How do you know you are ready for the next role?
One of our network meetings focused on the key skills needed to secure a middle leadership post, at secondary level and addressed the key issues and challenges faced once you are in post. Please click on the links below to view presentations:

"My shadowing experience has spurred me onto applying for an SLT post. I feel that I have been able to make contacts to help support me in the future and offer my help and services as well."
